Braised Turkey Mini-Patties

  • 500g turkey mince

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tbsp olive oil, ghee, or coconut oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped

  • 1 cup chicken stock

  • 1 small red onion, diced

  • 1 cup of diced tomatoes (or 1 can drained)

  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • 2 tbsp fresh chopped coriander

  • Sea salt to taste


1. Mix the turkey and egg together and season with a little sea salt then shape mixture into 12 mini-patties.
2. Place the patties into a large deep pan with the oil, garlic, lemon juice, onion, tomatoes and stock.
3. Bring mixture to the boil, then reduce heat, cover and gently simmer on medium-low heat for 15 minutes flipping the patties halfway through.
4. Cook until no pink remains in the centre. Serve with a sprinkle of coriander.
