Katrina Mcara, Programme Facilitator
Katrina's journey with health and fitness started early on with fueling herself for sport and then in later years to improve her own health. Including her eczema, which is now managed by wholefoods, instead of creams. Over the last 15 years, Katrina has worked in the fitness industry and as a secondary P.E. Teacher. As well as running her own fitness business, Katrina is a Mum to two young children. She also loves sport and has just completed her first half Ironman. For Katrina, the best parts of the Taste Success programmes are that they are simple to follow, with a variety of wholefoods, which are easy to prepare for busy families. Katrina believes that the Taste Success programmes are a great way to increase your wellbeing through sound nutrition. This is not a diet, but a lifestyle change. She is dedicated to helping you achieve your goals to be the best version of yourself.
Kristy Howard, Programme Facilitator
Kristy is a trained mental health professional with over 15 years experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds who believes strongly in the role good nutrition has on all aspects of health and wellbeing. She is currently working towards a Certificate in Nutritional Psychology through John F Kennedy University. Kristy loves how the Taste Success Programme makes it so easy for clients to develop knowledge and skills in nutrition and wholesome cooking in a supported environment. She is passionate about wholesome, clean eating and the impact this has on our relationship with ourselves, others and the environment. She has recently moved to Lawrence from Australia with her husband and two young daughters, and loves the wholesome way of life New Zealand brings. In between looking after her young family, you will find Kristy in her garden, tending to her veges and learning what she can and can’t grow in this somewhat cooler climate.
Sarah Fitzgerald, Programme Facilitator
Sarah lives in Dunedin and is a qualified and experienced Pharmacy Technician. These credentials mean she has a good understanding of the body and is experienced in talking with clients about how to improve their health outcomes. Sarah has had her own weight and skin problems and so is able empathise with her clients and to meet them where they are at. She has always been an active person, but exercise alone was not enough to achieve her health goals. Sarah completed the Foundation Taste Success Programme in 2016 and found that she had more energy and she experienced several other positive results. Not only has she keep the weight off that she lost, but also felt empowered by her improved perception of food. Sarah’s science background means that she has studied the evidence that supports the programme. Food is for nourishment; there is no need to go into battle with it.
